Here at William Means Real Estate, we recognize the ultimate sacrifice men and women make every single day to protect our country. It is with great pride that we reflect upon and express gratitude towards William Means agents and their family members for their dedicated hard work and bravery.
William Means’ agent LeGrand Elebash served 9 years in the USMC as an officer and F/A-18 pilot with two deployments overseas. According to LeGrand, F/A-18 training included learning the art of operating aircraft radar and weapons systems, air to air fighter tactics, ground attack tactics, aerial refueling, and both day and night carrier landings. During his time, LeGrand earned the qualification of Air Combat Tactics Instructor and helped train many new pilots. LeGrand is an integral part of our team and an even kinder person. We thank him for his service and dedication to our country.
We are more than just a business here at William Means, we are a family. With that, our agents and their families become our family as well. Recognizing our agents’ family members that have served is extremely important to us. Kaelin Hall‘s grandfather served in World War II and helped free the concentration camps. Both of Leize Gaillard‘s grandfathers, two Charleston natives, as well as Beverly Burris‘ grandfathers served in WWII. Brian Walsh‘s grandfather served in WWII and his father served in Vietnam. This is a large part of Walsh’s family story, as he carries a lot of respect “for everyone who’s worn the uniform”. Michelle McQuillan‘s father was a Marine who served in Vietnam, losing his leg and nearly his life. We thank him for the grand sacrifice he made. Courtney Vorachek‘s uncle has served as well. Paula Yorke‘s father was a naval aviator in the Korean War, flying planes off an aircraft carrier. Farrah Follmann‘s grandfather served in WWII and was the recipient of a Purple Heart.
This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island, also known as Carolina Day. Visit their website to learn more information on how you can partake in the celebration.
