Welcome Tim Schneider

Tim Schneider brings a wealth of sales, client services, and operations talent to William Means, joining the firm after selling more than $100M in luxury properties in the fast-paced, competitive Manhattan market. Originally from Bedford, NY, he attended Carnegie Mellon University. Tim’s love of design and the arts led him to run operations for Phillips Auction House in Manhattan before making the transition to real estate.

After marrying a South Carolinian, Tim knew that he needed to live in Charleston. He fell in love with the beautiful beaches and laid-back lifestyle and now resides on the Isle of Palms. Tim enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Laura, and two-year-old son, Thomas, and takes great pride in sharing his love of the Charleston area with clients and friends. He is passionate about helping clients find their dream home and sharing the beautiful life he has found in his adopted home state.

What Is Your Favorite Restaurant in Charleston, and Why?

No question about it – I love Acme Lowcountry Kitchen on the Isle of Palms. The “Whistlestop” shrimp and grits is my go-to breakfast with my son every Saturday morning. I ride my bicycle there and tow him behind me – we have our special father/son time, and it’s the best!

What Do You Think Sets You Apart as An Agent?

My greatest gift is intuitively knowing which properties will resonate with a particular buyer. I love people and can easily tune into what speaks to them on an individual, personal level. This ability makes shopping for a home efficient, enjoyable, and fun.

What Are Your Favorite Features of Homes and Why?

The way that people live in Charleston is so gracious. I love that the homes here reflect that lifestyle. Large porches seamlessly blend interior and exterior living. As a family, we love spending time on our screened-in porch, waving at friends and neighbors as they pass by.
