“The best way to find out the value of your house is to have a professional appraisal of the property. Be sure to hire and appraiser who is experienced in your area. A professional appraiser will measure your house so that you have the accurate square footage and then compare your house to other recent sales of comparable properties. Other methods of home valuation are having a real estate agent give you a BPO (broker price opinion), or if you know the square footage you could use Zillow.com. These are the three methods I would recommend with appraisal being the most accurate and Zillow being the least. ”
