Each year Travel + Leisure has readers vote on their favorite cities. They first select 30 cities than let readers take a survey about the cities the magazine has selected. Within the survey, they ask a series of questions from quality of life to food/dining experience. In 2008, Charleston was ranked #1 for friendliness.
