There’s so much to do and explore here in Charleston, yet some traditions remain the same. Dating back to 2010 on the second Sunday of every month, King street shuts down traffic from the intersection of Calhoun and King to King and Queen, where vendors and merchants are invited to fill the street. Locals and tourists alike can enjoy food trucks, artists, live performances and vendors, all while enjoying the hustle of downtown Charleston and the renowned shopping and boutiques that adorn King Street. The stores on King Street range from locally owned boutiques to eclectic shops and world-renowned designers, so there truly is something for everyone. Traveling with a furry friend? Charleston is quite the pet friendly city, especially on Second Sunday, where you can spot dogs of all sizes getting some sunshine with their owners.
