Amy is no stranger to Charleston, having been born and raised here. Amy ventured off briefly to obtain her undergraduate degree from Wofford College and her law degree from the University of South Carolina but came right back to her hometown to start her legal career. After clerking for a local judge on the circuit and appellate benches, she focused her career on representing employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation cases on both the state and federal levels. Amy handled hundreds of cases and negotiated compromises or settlements in hundreds more during her twenty-five-year career. The last half of her career involved working in senior management for a maritime group self-insurer, managing teams of attorneys and claims adjusters handling complex longshore cases. With each case, Amy honed key skills necessary for problem-solving, effective communication, and negotiation. Those skills coupled with her ability to engender trust with her clients as well as her unwavering commitment to go above and beyond are what make her unique.

Amy understands the purchase of a home can be one of the largest and most important decisions an individual or family can make, and her goal is to make it as stress-free and successful as possible for her clients. Her legal background provides a comprehensive understanding of the contracts and negotiations involved in the buying and selling of real estate. As an agent with William Means, Amy's sole focus is to best serve her clients by utilizing her legal and business backgrounds, work experience, tested skill sets, and values to achieve the optimum result for them.

Amy and her husband, Trey (also an agent with William Means), have lived in I'On for over twenty-five years and have two adult children, Caroline and Thomas. Amy appreciates her community and gives back to it as much as possible. She serves or has served as past president and board member of the Mt. Pleasant Track Club, I'On Trust board member, numerous legal and school leadership roles and committees, as well as a driver for East Cooper Meals on Wheels. Amy is an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, serving on the vestry and in many volunteer capacities over the years. Her interests include travel, beekeeping, mahjong, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
