Lesley Rathbun – owner of Charleston Birth Place. About 30 women a month are choosing to give birth in Rathbun’s birthing center and she is working to help pass laws on national accreditation standards for birth centers to make sure women in Charleston continue to have that option.

Cator Sparks – editor in chief of TheManual.com. With a passion for life, people and philanthropy Sparks gives back to the local community by hosting parties benefiting the LEARN Horse Rescue program and being the president of the Cannonborough/Elliotborough Neighborhood Association.

Mariana Hay – jewelry designer. Hay is making waves in the jewelry industry and gaining attention by her Goldbug Collection which is her take on the normally unsightly critter anyone that’s spent time in Charleston all too familiar with.

Thomas Rode – attorney. Believes lawyers have a duty to the community to try to make it better and promotes giving all people a voice through his work in civil litigation, criminal defense and teaching at the Charleston School of Law.
