In a recent interview on CNN’s “State of the Union”, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan said it’s a good time to become a homeowner. While recognizing that the U.S. has a ways to go before the housing market fully recovers, Donovan was optimistic, stating that the foreclosure rate has dropped about 40% from last year. Donovan added that it is “very unlikely we see a significant further decline.”
